Book Review: Hope We Never Meet Again by Srinath Krishnamoorthy

Hope We Never Meet Again  by Srinath Krishnamoorthy

Psychological, Hate Thriller? Well it’s a notch different. I would say a Psychological Hate thriller with a Tint of Supernatural to it.
READ IT! You will not regret it.
Busy with writing last month I couldn’t read it. Now that I finally sat with the book I was hooked. During the first part somewhere I felt a little drag and doubted is it relevant to the start that had made me think ‘WHOA! What the heck happened?’ But soon it got me back into the inescapable current.

The narration is very different. Every reader who loves trying new Author should give it a try.  The story is hooking. For a first book it is a strong current which would suck you in, actually kind of whirlpool. Not all would like the style but nobody would feel it was a waste of time.
If you are into thrillers, mind plays …watch out for this author - ‘Srinath Krishnamoorthy’.

*Spoiler alert

Very nostalgic, Palakkad, ottaplam, though never been to Mannur I could relate to the paddy fields, the pond, the kaavu (temple), the festivities there. The very village atmosphere we can see even today when we go home. Yes still it is home though left home years before in the name of life, job and family.  Picturesque description; which has absorbed the very essence of a Kerala village life and equally brought into picture the busy metropolitan world of Bangalore.
The complexities of the protagonist’s mind, the dark alleys it travelled is worth mentioning. Some where it reminded me of Sydney Sheldon’s ‘Tell Me your Dreams’.
It should be the writer or the feministic corner in me that I wanted a more round character of Ritu. I felt  Kamala’s and Meena’s character were more defined than Ritu’s. But I think the author did justice, the product of materialistic world; that is Ritu. Whereas Kamala and Meena who had to fend the life in more harsher and rougher ways were aptly presented.
Kamala / Pazani/ Vasu --- Vasu and Varun
Varun / Vasu--- Christy
Meena – Selvan --  Unni kuttan
Then other peep characters , Priya, Kiran,  Neha …etc
All the characters mixed in to create this psychological ride.
Then, I did want to know what happened to Soorej Menen.

All in all it really left my mind questioning and wondering ‘ What exactly happened here?’

Read it once and you won’t regret having tried a new author.
