Book Review - Her Secret Husband by Sundari Venkatraman **********THE BEACON… RED LIGHTS… ALARMS …  BIG BIG BIG Spoiler ALERT…. “What if I need you desperately?” “Do you love me or just lust after my body?” “Can’t I do both?"
Phew….. I am already feeling hot. And I have just read page 24 which is just the excerpt before the novel begins in the book. (exasperated…) So what am I doing writing? Good question. Cause unlike normal book reviews (psssst I doubt my reviews usually are normal .. my eyes  rolling up lips turning at one side) here I thought, (wicked glint in my eyes) a running commentary for a change ;-) And guess it’s a surprise for all romance lovers especially Sundari Venkatraman’s avid readers. The book has been released just about an hour ago, I couldn’t help myself and I grabbed the kindle copy from amazon. (one of me in black and with two red horns shining on the head and a trident by my one shoulder and the other one of me in white with all feather wings and a halo…

THE BROKEN HOME English Translation of  Rabindranath Tagore's  Nastanirh by LOPAMUDRA BANERJEE

The Broken Home (Nastanirh), the novella, takes place in late 19th-century Bengal and explores the lives of the aristocratic Bengali gentry who were part of the Indian Renaissance. Within the peripheries of such a distinct, culturally liberal society, the world of Charulata, Bhupati and Amal unfolds. Charu, the dreamy, melancholic young woman dreams of an idyllic literary world where she and her brother-in-law Amal, a budding writer would remain two discreet, indispensable entities. However, Amal’s estrangement destroys her creative passions and creates an ocean of turmoil in her life that turns her marital world upside down. Her husband, Bhupati, despite his liberal ideas, is blind to her loneliness and dissatisfaction. It is only with the appearance of his cousin, Amal, in their lives, who incites passionate feelings in Charu, that Bhupati realizes what he has lost.

Nastanirh is the basi…

Book Review - Destiny Embraces by P G Van

I am all excited and feeling all hearts and balloons (ahem... the two horns starts shining on my head) . Just as I had mentioned earlier when reviewed the first book I wanted more on other characters. As I was getting more glimpse into those character, I got hooked( my eyes all sparkly and can put a heart too;-) ).
Here In destiny embrace author PG Van had it all.  Romance: Absolute steamy times...I still feel the hot quotient around.
Compatibility: Was A1... But the feel I got from the first book that Nick was too good to be true (seriously…’ men should have a little of  what we call roughness, don’t they? The evil glint is full on.) There he was letting Sameera have her way even if it was completely illogical ( I felt a little disheartened my eyes had drooped and lips turned down felt like a little sulking…..) Here it all changed completely.( My antennas up, eyes sparkly)  Nick stood firm to his principles. He loved her like crazy but he didn't let her wrap him around his little fi…
